Paint Auburn REaD is an early literacy project to raise the importance of reading to children from birth onwards. Talking, listening, singing, speaking and reading are all important.
The Schools as Community Centres Facilitator is working in collaboration with other service providers in Auburn, Regents Park and Lidcombe on this project. Auburn Diversity Service Inc, Auburn City Council Library other children services are involved.
Local business owners and operators were invited to participate. Cafes and restaurants and many others participated in a READING Day.
Auzie the mascot was very happy as everyone was reading.Parents with children please come to the Auburn Town Hall at 9.30am and we will have a Magic Show for the children. Following this we will all have a "Story Walk " to Auburn Central where Auburn West Public School drumming group will entertain the children and parents.
