The Parramatta Road overhead bridge was specifically erected in 2007 for our Auburn North students. My staff and I believe that for student safety it is essential that when crossing Parramatta Road before or after school they MUST use the bridge and not cross between the traffic lights. Please continue to remind your children to use the bridge.
It was brought to my attention recently that some parents and students have been engaging in dangerous behaviours near Adderley Street. The pedestrian crossing and ‘Johnny', our very effective pedestrian crossing officer, must be used by students and parents when crossing Adderley Street.
As well, when students are stepping into a car they must do so from the kerb side and as soon as they sit in the car they must fasten their seat belts.
For the safety of your children we look forward to your full cooperation in each of these areas.
