Auburn North PS was presented with two Secretary's Awards for Excellence.
2018 Secretary’s Award for Outstanding School Initiative
This award is presented to NSW public schools demonstrating, via a discreet program, event or initiative their commitment to teaching and learning outcomes, leadership, supporting the students and/or creating a sustainable learning environment. Auburn North Public School was selected due to it's dyanmic TPL (teacher professional learning) program - High Impact Teaching Strategies (HITS)
2018 Secretary’s School Achievement Award
This prestigious award recognises NSW public schools that have successfully created a sustainable learning environment through a project. Schools receiving this award must demonstrate significant improvement in learning outcomes and opportunities, excellence in student learning, maximising learning opportunities for all students as well as community leadership. Auburn North Public School was selected because of it's community initiative - Parents as Partners for Learning workshops.
